Local man, Mark Smith, was left in a state of shock and embarrassment after attending his high school reunion last week.
The reunion, held at the local high school gym, was meant to be a fun and enjoyable event for Smith, but instead he was left feeling completely out of place and uncomfortable.
“It was like I had stepped into an alternate universe,” said Smith. “Everyone was talking about their kids, their jobs, and their lives. I was the only one who hadn’t done anything with his life. I felt like an alien in a room full of humans.”
Smith was further humiliated when he was asked to give a speech about his life since graduating high school.
“I was so embarrassed,” said Smith. “I had nothing to say. I felt like everyone was judging me and it was horrible. I just wanted to crawl into a hole and disappear.”
At the end of the night, Smith was relieved to be able to escape the awkwardness and return to his normal life.
“I’m never going to another reunion again,” said Smith. “I just can’t handle the humiliation.”
